Master Ch\u00e2u Quan K\u1ef3<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Master CH\u00c2U Quan K\u1ef3, born in 1895 in China's Qu\u1ea3ng \u00d0\u00f4ng province, came from the Hakka ethnic group, renowned for their skills in martial arts and traditional medicine. Following the death of his father, he was entrusted to the care of his uncle, a Taoist master and head of a large martial arts school, who played a decisive role in his education. From an early age, the young CH\u00c2U Quan K\u1ef3 displayed remarkable martial arts skills, impressing his peers with his exceptional talent.<\/p>

In 1936, faced with difficult political circumstances, he emigrated to H\u1ed3ng K\u00f4ng before settling in Tr\u00e0 Vinh, Vietnam, where he joined a growing Chinese community. His mastery of martial arts and knowledge of traditional medicine quickly won him local recognition. A striking incident at a festival, where he performed an impressive demonstration against two less skilled compatriots, propelled his reputation throughout South Vietnam, attracting the interest of numerous disciples.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In 1956, he moved to Ch\u1ee3 L\u1edbn, a bustling district of South Vietnam's capital, where he began practicing herbalism and acupuncture. His fame continued to grow, and he then moved to a Taoist temple in Gia \u00d0\u1ecbnh, where he took on the role of master of ceremonies for funeral rites. Around this time, he met PH\u1ea0M Xu\u00e2n T\u00f2ng, a young boy who would become one of his closest disciples.<\/p>

Encouraged by recognized Vietnamese experts, such as Grand Masters L\u00ea V\u0103n Ki\u1ec3n, Lai Qu\u00ed and Long H\u1ed5 H\u1ed9i, Master CH\u00c2U Quan K\u1ef3 decided to become a naturalized Vietnamese. In 1958, he founded his first official school, the V\u00f5 \u00d0\u01b0\u1eddng: H\u1ed5 H\u1ea1c Tr\u1ea3o, promoting his teachings to a wider audience.<\/p>

From 1967 onwards, as he devoted himself to research into energy control, he began to experience health problems. Aware of his condition, he drew up his will in preparation for his inheritance. Shortly afterwards, he was found lifeless by PH\u1ea0M Xu\u00e2n T\u00f2ng's father during a visit. He died a few hours later in Ch\u1ee3 R\u1eaby hospital, following a cerebral hemorrhage. Before his death, he appointed PH\u1ea0M Xu\u00e2n T\u00f2ng as his only successor, entrusting him with his writings and knowledge to ensure the continuity of his teaching and vision of the martial arts.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The different styles<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Within Master Ch\u00e2u Quan K\u1ef3's school: the V\u00f5 \u00d0\u01b0\u1eddng H\u1ed4 H\u1ea0C TR\u1ea2O, several styles of Hakkas were practiced: Thi\u1ebfu L\u00e2m Nam Ph\u00e1i, Nga Mi Ph\u00e1i, and Ch\u00e2u Gia \u00d0\u01b0\u1eddng Lang Ph\u00e1i (Ch\u00e2u family praying mantis method).\n\nIndeed, the Hakkas, literally meaning \u201ctraveling families\u201d, are a Chinese ethnic group living mainly in the provinces of Fujian, Guangxi and Guangdong. Known for their passion for education, courage and mastery of the martial arts, they have also produced notable historical figures, such as H\u1ed3ng T\u00fa To\u00e0n, leader of the Tai-Ping Revolution. Today, they can be found mainly in Guangdong, in towns such as Hwai Chow and Chao Chow.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In addition, the Nga Mi method, which spread widely in the Sichuan region during the Qing dynasty (1644-1911), spawned around 300 styles, reaching its apogee thanks to competitions such as \u201c\u0110\u1ea3 L\u00f4i \u0110\u00e0i\u201d (free ring fighting). The famous Taoist monk P'ak Me\u00ef T'ao Jin embodies just one of the many styles of this period.<\/p>

Notable techniques include Th\u01b0\u01a1ng Ph\u00e1p Nga Mi (internal techniques) and Quy\u1ec1n Ph\u00e1p Nga Mi (hand techniques), as well as specialties such as Nga Mi Ho\u1ea3 Long Quy\u1ec1n and Nga Mi Ki\u1ec1m Quy\u1ec1n. Hand techniques include fast movements and surprise attacks, while defense favors flexibility, dodging and the use of decoys. The method of \u201c\u0110i\u1ec3m Huy\u1ec7t\u201d (striking the vital points) is also essential. This technical richness is the result of centuries of research and development in the region.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

On the other hand, Nam Quy\u1ec1n, developed in the 16th century, has spread along the southern slopes of the Tr\u01b0\u1eddng Giang River, in provinces such as Ph\u00fac Ki\u1ebfn, Qu\u1ea3ng \u0110\u00f4ng and Sichuan. This practice is rich in techniques and exercises, comprising several distinct styles.\nNam Quy\u1ec1n Qu\u1ea3ng \u0110\u00f4ng is famous thanks to clans such as H\u1ed3ng Gia and L\u01b0u Gia, known as \u201cNg\u0169 \u0110\u1ea1i L\u01b0u Ph\u00e1i\u201d. In Qu\u1ea3ng T\u00e2y, we find styles such as Ch\u00e2u Gia Quy\u1ec1n and H\u1ed3ng M\u00f4n Ph\u1ee5c H\u1ed5 Quy\u1ec1n. Nam Quy\u1ec1n Ph\u00fac Ki\u1ebfn, or Nam Quy\u1ec1n Thi\u1ebfu L\u00e2m, is distinguished by its legendary Ng\u0169 H\u00ecnh Quy\u1ec1n (Long, X\u00e0, H\u1ed5, B\u00e1o, H\u1ea1c) and other iconic techniques.<\/p>

In the H\u1ed3 Nam region, we find the famous V\u0169 Gia Quy\u1ec1n and H\u1ed3ng Gia styles. Nam Quy\u1ec1n T\u1ee9 Xuy\u00ean is characterized by eight varied styles, while Giang T\u00e2y is known for the 36 L\u1ed9 T\u1ed1ng Giang Quy\u1ec1n. Finally, Nam Quy\u1ec1n Chi\u1ebft Giang includes H\u1ea1c H\u1ed5 Quy\u1ec1n and Kim C\u01b0\u01a1ng Quy\u1ec1n, and Giang T\u00f4 shows marked technical divergences depending on the city.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\u0110\u01b0\u1eddng Lang, inspired by the movements of the praying mantis, was developed in the late Ming dynasty by V\u01b0\u01a1ng Lang, a martial expert from the village of T\u00fac M\u1ea1c, in S\u01a1n \u0110\u00f4ng province. After failing a university competition, he observed a praying mantis chasing cicadas and created a unique fighting technique, B\u1eafc Ph\u00e1i \u0110\u01b0\u1eddng Lang, which focuses on five principles of speed: upper limbs, lower limbs, movement, body and technical applications.\nSimultaneously, Nam Ph\u00e1i \u0110\u01b0\u1eddng Lang emerged in the province of Qu\u1ea3ng \u0110\u00f4ng, under the teaching of Ch\u00e2u \u00e1 Nam. The techniques of this style are very different from those of the north, with close attacks and shorter movements, although the praying mantis postures remain similar.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In addition, Qwan Ki Do also has its origins in Vietnamese martial arts derived from old Vietnamese methods that the young PHAM Xu\u00e2n Tong was able to learn from his great-uncle PH\u1ea0M Tr\u00fa: V\u00f5 Qu\u1ea3ng B\u00ecnh, Le V\u00f5 B\u00ecnh \u0110\u1ecbnh and V\u00f5 B\u1eafc Ninh (Qu\u00e1n Kh\u00ed . .) , which themselves had been handed down by his great-grandfather PHAN V\u0103n Mi\u00eang, who was very famous towards the end of the 19th century in the town of \u00d0\u1ed3ng H\u1edbi (Qu\u1ea3ng B\u00ecnh province).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n
